Alison Grainger

Account Manager

Alison started her career in Group Sales for a luxury hotel chain selling and traveling to exotic destinations such as Mauritius and Bahamas. After four years she moved on to events, keen to discover what it is like to run an event from start to finish. It turned out to be a good move.

Several years on and still loving the industry, Alison has become very experienced in delivering the full range of events, with particular expertise in the pharmaceutical sector where she managed advisory boards, symposia, congresses, investigator and internal sales meetings.

Alison has dealt with the unknown plenty of times her career but one particularly demanding situation occurred in January 2011 during a heavy snowfall across the UK. Of the 600 delegates scheduled to attend an internal meeting at Heathrow, only 450 managed to travel in and following further heavy snow, Alison had to re-book all delegates onto later flights, alternative routes or overnight accommodation – no mean feat given the pressure on all infrastructure at the time!

Luckily, Alison takes great pride in her ability to multi-task and gets a great sense of achievement when her events come to a happy end.
