W&O Innovate in the C&IT Agency Challenge
One may be forgiven for thinking that the “W” in “W&O” stood for “wind-spinners or wind mills” when the impassionate W&O team consisting of Ben Cooke, Kristin Menke and Melanie Failes pitched a raft of state-of-the-art ideas as part of the much publicised C&IT Agency Challenge 2011 targeting Copenhagen on 30th June at the Danish Embassy in London.
In answering the brief which required agencies to develop an eco-friendly and innovative approach to a high-level executive programme in the Danish capital, our team focussed on both a novel approach to pitches and to event ideas that challenged the mind whilst keeping in the logistically-feasible boundaries. Think wind-spinners, mood boards and augmented reality – to name but some of the tools that acted as ‘props’ on the day.
This came a few short days after we gave the mandatory 200-word teaser, the shape of a Danish-flag word cloud, thus allowing us to convey form and substance in a visually compelling way.
The jury is now considering the pitches from all the competing agencies but our performance on the day has already been met with positive comments from the Axa Life, Barclays and Canon corporate panel, and the Visit Denmark organisers. Now it’s on to you to cast your vote!
