Leading Retailer Conference, London - 1200 delegates
An annual conference for a leading retail brand.
The Brief
To organise the annual sales conference in its 10th year, with the purpose to launch the new strategic objectives and recognise and reward top achievers. This year’s event would bring together 1200 participants, store managers and VIPs.
The Solution
The event spread over two days with day 1 opening with a business agenda at the Barbican Conference Centre and ending with a climatic gala dinner in Battersea Park. The second day focussed on an uplifting business meeting aiming to motivate the sales force in light of the approaching festive season.
The business meeting made full use of video animation on screen, and role playing on stage whilst the evening took the shape of a truly stylish and vibrant celebration with 1200 guest seated dinner in Battersea Park, opened by an inspirational keynote speech from the CEO and followed by cocktails and dancing around the DJ booth in the heart of the venue.
The second day brought all participants back to the Barbican Centre for an uplifting series of small presentation and interactive sessions focusing on motivating and inspiring the sales force in light of the festive season.
Behind the scenes, our team has been providing all the logistic support, ensuring the accommodation of 1200 participants at three hotels in London (the Growman Tower, The Hilton Metropol and The Cumberland), transport, registration, catering, set up of the trade show exhibition zones, VIP arrangements for the executives, and all on and off stage entertainment, including a series of coffee tasting sessions for the 1200 participants during the conference.
When you are in charge of over 1000 delegates, every step of event planning could potentially become a challenge. Particularly problematic /toughest nuts to crack were the logistics presented by the coffee tasting sessions in the conference room – engineering the smooth and effective delivery of a series of 1200 hot coffee cups in perfect harmony was no easy task.
